OUR VISION FOR THE WORLD IS FOR ADULTS HAVE PERMISSION TO JUST PLAY

This vision was inspired by having learned that collective joy requires justice and that most people don't feel permission to play. Just play is both a directive and the combination of justice and play.

Given play's potential for creating connection, pleasure, growth and healing, we believe our ability to co-exist can be dramatically improved if people just played more and that's why we exist.

Just play is both ancient and emergent. It encompasses all forms of play that centre connection and not competition. There is no winning in just play beyond playing for the sake of play. Examples include but are not limited to dancing, singing, puzzles and connective card games.

Playing as adults is about pleasure, connection, creativity, fantasy—all the juicy parts of life we savor. Play is the pleasure of being inventive, mischievous, imaginative, and trying something new. Why do we play? Because it helps us grow—and because it’s fun.
